Adobe Illustrator was unable to identify the cause of the crash. Attempt to launch Illustrator again?

Downloaded new update !illustrator today , i'm in loop same message: adobe illustrator unable identify cause of crash. attempt launch illustrator again? i've followed instructions under "more info" button, neither of choices help.

if click yes, i'm in eternal loop.

if click no, closes. having issue too?

if windows. try below steps , share dump file us.

can please follow below steps , provide new crash dump.


make sure ai not running.
go task manager , kill aisafemodelauncher.exe if running
kill illustrator.exe if running
press window + r key , type %appdata% , press enter key
go inside adobe folder
rename or delete “adobe illustrator 19 settings” folder
launch ai


if see crash or not responding message, go task manager , create dump file , share dump @ sharewithai@adobe.com via file sharing service.


if on mac. try below steps , submit crash adobe , provide email-id in crash report. find root cause of issue.

open finder
select go->go folder menu item
type ~/library , press enter
go inside "application support" , "adobe"
rename or delete "adobe illustrator 19" folder.
go till ~/library folder , open preferences
rename or delete "adobe illustrator 19 settings" folder
launch ai


if see crash followed adobe crash reporter dialog, enter email-id in crash report dialog , click submit. send test mail @ sharewithai@adobe.com.
